Can You Start A butterfly Bush From Just A Clipping

Week one results

After a week, there was little outward change. Leaves stayed green, and healthy looking. I watered once in the morning every day, temps averaged around 75f. Will update in a week.

week Three results

After 3 weeks, the leaves are beginning to grow. They are noticeably larger. Temps are averaging in the low to mid 80s, which is extremely warm for late March early April. Also been very dry, no rain, so been watering still once a day.

Week five results

Noticeable leaf growth , another set of leaves have started growing as well. The bush is definitely growing and becoming established, despite the drought conditions here in Ga. The last week we received an inch and a half of rain finally. I watered the little bush one a day, other than that I did nothing else.

Week 7 results

After months with little rain, we have finally got a good amount of rain. Which the little butterfly bush enjoyed. Growth as nearly doubled. Noticeably larger leaves have really started to make this little clipping look like a plant.

Week 12 results...

Extreme heat and humidity here in Ga have really taken a toll this year. Above average temps, and low rain fall have meant I have been struggling to keep this little guy thriving, but somehow I have. Noticeable growth over the last several months. It actually looks like a bush now!

Week 14 results.....

Weeks of high temperatures and very little rain, have taken a toll on everything, but this little bush continues to thrive. It has its first blooms. Not much growth, but a single bloom on both stalks. With the extreme heat I have watered twice a day, and its getting about 8 hours of full sun.
