Meet Luigi

Luigi came in, with his brother Mario. Luigi for one reason or another, has suffered from metabolic bone disease way more than his brother. Lack of calcium, proper humidity, and improper diet, can all lead to this. His shell is terribly disfigured. Luckily it was caught in time and doesn't seem to affect him. Despite his unfortunate condition, he is by far one of the friendliest tortoises, I have seen. He is very outgoing, always interested in what I might be doing as well as seeing if I have his favorite treat. While he mainly eats grass, weeds, vines he does get treats of mazuri tortoise chow, strawberry, blueberry and also enjoys squash and cucumber.
